Steam Deck units are getting ready to ship to the early purchasers so you might now, with good reason, be starting to consider what games you will actually play on your new toy when the package arrives.

Obviously, some games are going to be more suited to it than others and Valve has been super-busy preparing the entire Steam library to highlight exactly what will run to perfection with you.

The new Deck Verified section on the Steam Deck website shows games listed within four categories of compatibility as you can see in the image below:

In order to get classed as verified a game needs to tick four boxes – Input, Seamlessness, Display, and System Support – If it passes all these tests it’s good to go.

Steam Store on Deck

The Steam Store on the Steam Deck gets a new tab, pride of place on the left. Simply called Great on Deck, it will take you to a curated list of games that will run flawlessly. This will obviously get added to as well as devs potentially adapt their titles to hit this new audience.

All games in the regular section of the library will have an icon showing the kinds of experience you can expect to get on your new Steam Deck. This system will take a period of time to get used to, especially if you pick up a unit later down the line and expect everything to just work.
