What is the Erdtree?
According to the Elden Ring wiki, the Erdtree (黄金樹, Ōgonju) is a giant, golden tree that towers above the Lands Between. The Lands Between is blessed by the Elden Ring, which is the source of the Erdtree that symbolizes its presence. It is the heart of the Golden Order.
A stranded soul says this of the Erdtree to confirm it’s ethereal representation of the Golden Order: “Ohh, Erdtree, great Erdtree. The Golden Order itself, unwavering, stretched to the sky.”
