The latest expansion for WoW is almost upon us and players are getting excited. Still, many ask themselves “When can I download dragonflight?”
That is the question that we’ve attempted to answer in this article for you.
Read on to find out when you can download WoW Dragonflight.
When Can I Download WoW Dragonflight?
If you’re already a WoW player, then you’ve probably already noticed the pre-patch going live. So you can already get a bunch of the assets for Dragonflight downloaded simply by updating WoW in Battle.net.

That said, you still won’t be able to actually access any of the major new areas, or the questline, for the expansion yet. That will have to wait for the Dragonflight release date, which is coming on 28 November 2022.
Still, you can at least get ready for the expansion to arrive, and in the meantime, try out the new Dracthyr character race and Evoker Hero class. That is if you can find your invisible weapons when you get started.
What’s New in Dragonflight?
As well as the aforementioned new class and a new race, Dragonflight will be bringing a bunch of new content to World of Warcraft.
Arguably the coolest addition is dragon mounts, flying mounts that will unlock account-wide and come with their own upgrade tree to increase how fast and how long they can fly. You’ll also be able to customize your mount to make them look and feel unique.
Another great change with this expansion is the loosening of some of the class rules. Now, it’s possible to play Rogues, Mages, and Priests in more races, so it’s finally possible to make the Tauren Mage of your dreams.

Of course, the expansion will also bring a new story to Azeroth, centering around dragons (is it obvious?) and the newly awoken race of Dracthyr. This humanoid dragon-folk has been sleeping for thousands of years and awake to find themselves under threat from an unknown enemy.
You’ll have to wait for the game’s launch to learn more than that. If you’re counting every second, then we have a countdown that will tell you exactly how long is left until Dragonflight arrives.

For a time, only owners of Shadowlands could pre-purchase Dragonflight, but sales are now open to everyone. You can purchase the expansion through Battle.net.
