As the game heads for its upgrade to Counter-Strike 2, it still has got a lifeline in it right at the end. So we see when those new features might come out, as we see when is the next CSGO patch. As it still has just that bit more to give before CS 2 comes out.
CSGO came out in August of 2012, and since then has still been gaining numbers and growing in popularity. With an all-time peak of 1.5 million players, and constantly hovering around that, it’s as big as ever as everyone awaits for the next iteration of the game.
When is the next CSGO patch?
Current CSGO patches usually affect both CSGO and CS2, as they are based on the same launcher. And so still receives frequent patches. Looking at SteamDB, and the CSGO patches info page we see the patch history for the game, and we get an idea of when to expect the next one.
Recently they have been more frequent with the new engine being the focus of the updates. As well as the big update for the CSGO Major with stickers and pass release. And since we have seen about a monthly or so release date for patches. As such we expect the next CSGO patch to land at the end of May or the beginning of June.
What is a CSGO patch?
A CSGO patch can mean either one of two things, either an update or an item in-game. A software patch is one that introduces new features or fixes any bugs. This keeps the game working as it should and keeps things fresh, like adding new items or engine updates.
Whilst the patch item in the game is a single-use items that can be applied to any agent skin. This lets you customize your character with something additional to your skin. There are different locations you can choose put after the application can’t be moved only removed.
