As more players dive into the Diablo 4 open beta this weekend, many players will be wondering where to find Ashava the Pestilent – and how to defeat them.
Diablo Immortal set a precent of timed world bosses, so the introduction of Diablo 4 beta world boss spawn times into this weekend’s play – and presumably the full release – don’t come as a surprise. But if you don’t know what these are, then strap in for huge bosses that you’ll likely need an entire party to bring down.
So with the Diablo 4 open beta start time, a whole new cohort of players are going to be looking for these bosses – and want to know how to crush them. Ashava the Pestilent is one such world boss, and there are some certain requirements and demands you need to meet to face them. And we’re here to tell you where Ashava is, and provide some tips on how to beat them down.
Where to Find Ashava the Pestilent in Diablo 4
Ashava is a world boss, which means you can only find them in an open world area – and at certain times too. There’s no heading to a specific dungeon or quest here, and that makes being definitive about where to Find Ashava the Pestilent a little tricky…
What makes it rather urgent and immediate when playing is players will actually get notified thirty minutes before a world boss is about to spawn. Because of this, it’s impossible to manipulate which world boss will come at what time in Diablo 4.
For example, during the open beta, we think it’ll be possible to fight Ashava at the following times:
- March 25 at 10am, 12pm, 10pm, and midnight (Pacific times)
- March 26 at midnight (Pacific times)
But, when the notification for Ashava the Pestilent does come, finding them is east – just head to the designated area marked on the map. Here you’ll find a large hole in the ground, and as soon as the countdown clock bongs zero, the camera will zoom out and the boss will emerge. And you need to strap in!
How to beat Ashava the Pestilent
The first thing to note and advise is that it’s best to have a maximum party of 12 – if you can – to go into battle against Ashava. World bosses have their own levels – exclusive to this type of enemies – and this can make them incredibly powerful, so it’s all hands on deck!
In terms of attack patterns and hints, while you may inevitable meet death initially, once you have it learnt, then you’re part of the way there. Ashava has a particularly dangers attack where they first reach out to the left and then spin around, dealing heavy damage to any player caught up in the maelstrom of bossflesh. You can avoid this by getting right up close to the boss though.
Another note worth mentioning is that when Ashava gets close to death, they jump to a random location to reposition themselves, and comes back in with a double-handed ground pound. Naturally, this is a dangerous attack and does loads of damage. Avoid it by remaining far awa y from Ashava in general, or very close to their legs.
