Recently released Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands came with 6 main classes to choose from. Each class offers different skills, both passive and active. They all vary when it comes to playstyle. Half of these classes comes with a buddy. In this article you will learn all three companions in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Note! I will not include every companion from skills and weapons like Hydras. They will be showcased in a separate guide or build article. Today I will focus on the main three companions.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Companions

Demi-Lich Companion – Graveborn

The Fatemaker is accompanied by a floating Demi-Lich Companion that targets enemies at range and deals Dark Magic damage. Whenever the Fatemaker casts a Spell, the Demi-Lich will cast Hellish Blast, creating a homing projectile of the Spell’s elemental type, dealing damage to nearby enemies on impact. Any increases to the Fatemaker’s Damage also apply to their Companions.

Great companion that is versatile, flies around the battle and occasionally laughs at you.

Wyvern Companion – Clawbringer

The Clawbringer is accompanied by a Wyvern Companion that flies through the environment and attacks enemies with its claws and Fire Breath. Any increases to the Fatemaker’s Damage also apply to their Companions.

Wyvern is mainly focused on fire and lightning elements, so a very universal and focused character. Clawbringer also has the most team oriented skills so definitely a good pickup when playing in a party.

Mushroom Companion – Spore Warden

The Fatemaker is accompanied by a Mushroom Companion that targets nearby enemies and deals Poison Damage. Pinging an enemy will cause your Mushroom Companion to lunge towards them. Any increases to the Fatemaker’s Damage also apply to their Companions.

One of the weirdest pets/companions in Borderlands franchise up to date. That should not fool you however, because it is also one of the most useful little buggers. With some skills from Spore Warden’s tree he can taunt enemies, revive you and create huge… farts. Huge farts.

Companions in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Explained

Every companion in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands seems useful so far. The damage scaling is a lot different to Borderlands 3. Mainly the fact that all increases to our characters also increase Companion Damage.

So, every companion in the game works in a different way. My personal favorite is Mushroom Companion just because he can taunt and revive you. Also, because he does not laugh at you (looking at you Demi-Lich).

There is a lot of potential in creating a companion build that I will definitely cover in the future. Especially with Graveborn’s damage increases per companion, Hydras and all that potential.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands was released on March 25, 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One X/S, Xbox Series X/S.
