Gearbox and 2K has announced that its upcoming game, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is crossplay. Players on PC, Xbox, and PS platforms can play together and experience the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands coop goodness that the Gearbox franchise games are renowned for.

From the exact launch of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the game will have crossplay enabled for all of its platforms. No matter what platform you are on, whether that is PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S or PC, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland is crossplay for all. The game is using a technology that Gearbox and 2K call Shift Matchmaking. When you boot up Tiny Tina’s Wonderland, you will be presented with the option to make your game crossplay enabled or not. If you do, you will get the option to select a crossplay name, which is the name you will use for finding your friends across different platforms.

In order to set up a Shift matchmaking name for Tiny Tina’s Wonderland crossplay, you need to meet the following:

  • Unique name not used by another player
  • Between 3-16 characters long
  • Must start with a letter, and is limited to the alphabet and numbers 0-9.

To change your name in the future, you need to go to the Shift website and modify your details. Alternatively, you can change your name in the game’s main or pause menu by heading to the social tab. We do recommend checking out the Shift website, however. The reason is that the website offers players beta promotions and other rewards for joining the shift website. It could help get you some new goodies in Tiny Tina’s Wonderland throughout the game’s life cycle.

New-generation consoles can play up to four-player local coop if you would rather play it couch coop instead, while older-generation consoles can play two-player split-screen. Sadly, PC players cannot play local coop.

Remember, the game releases on March 25. We hope you are ready for the new Borderland take in the DnD style universe.
