WoW Season of Mastery server communities are forming already
The Wow SoM Server list is live and communities are forming around them.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the WoW SOM server list for European, North American, and Oceanic servers. There are five servers in Europe, while North America and Oceania technically have eight servers.

WoW SoM server list
The World of Warcraft Season of Mastery server list is now live, and these are the servers you’ll be able to create your name reservation characters. Moreso, these are the servers that will launch on the SoM global release time. You can find these Season of Mastery servers in-game in a separate season tab in the WoW Classic vanilla client when they are live.

Moreso, many of those who plan on playing the WoW Classic Season of Mastery have created server communities for these servers, so people can find a community they like the most. One Reddit user called U/ta2 has created a table logging the server community discords, along with a somewhat accurate discord population. You can use these metrics and discord links to work out where you want to place your name reservation and play come November 16, when the Season of Mastery kicks off for most players worldwide.
Do be aware that the numbers are slightly off. One of the reasons why is not everyone who is playing the Season of Mastery uses Reddit. Another reason is that many of the servers’ populations have the same people scouting the Discords. So, the population numbers on these servers are certainly will not be accurate when the servers actually go live.
