WWE 2K22 comes with many various match types already, but there is always an option to create your own custom match with the settings given by the developers. You can change many things in there, and in this article, I will go through how to make a Finisher Match in WWE 2K22.

Creating a Finisher Match

First of all you need to go to the Creations tab by pressing R1/L1 on PlayStation or RB/LB on Xbox. Then select the Custom Matches option in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Step #1

Choose the option New right at the top. You will see a list of matches you want to base your match on. For the purposes of this guide, I will create a 1 vs. 1 Finisher Match, but you can choose almost any other match type.

After choosing One on One Normal Match, you will see a settings menu where you can change how your custom match works. If you want to create a Finisher Match, the first thing you need to do is turn off Pin or Submission.

Step #2

This will unlock the option to choose a Finisher as a match ending condition. Next, turn on the Finisher Match (Perform Finisher to Win) option On. You can still make it an Iron Man or 2 out of 3 falls match, but other options will be locked.

Accept the changes and proceed to the next tab. Here you can set up all the other details. I left in on default, but you can change it however you want.

Step #3

Proceed to the fourth section where you can select your health and finisher count. I did not add any finishers, because the final conditions to win the match is hitting a finisher so adding it would be too quick in my opinion.

Step #4

In the fifth and final section, you are able to choose which weapons are located under the ring. If you created a no disqualification Finisher Match, then go and play with all the items at your disposal. After that you just Accept all the settings and insert your match’s name. I named it simply “Finisher Match 1v1”.

Now you can choose your custom match in any play mode while setting up the match. Custom Matches list is located at the bottom right section of the screen. You can browse through all the custom matches you created.
