The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has only just released after all there is bound to be an influx on patch notes and updates. In these first few weeks we expect Nintendo and their developers to find bugs and exploits that players report.

Version 1.1.1 Patch notes

Ver. 1.1.1 (Released May 18, 2023)

Tears of the Kingdom has been released, it seems some fans have already had issues with clearing quests on their log. This has been quickly rectified in this patch from Nintendo. After clearly spending such an amazing effort to make this game look and feel beautiful to play it is welcoming to see patches being updated so frequently.

General Updates

  • Fixed issue where, sometimes, the player could not clear the main quest “The Closed Door,” even if they fulfilled the conditions to advance the quest. If you have already encountered this issue, you will be able to clear the quest by downloading this updated data.
  •  Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

Players are already discovering duping glitches, exploits, and other easy methods to pass through Hyrule. As it early days of this release, patch notes are expected to be coming in as often as possible as fans explore more of the capability of this game. We have already seen some of the insane Zonai constructs that have been created with Link‘s new fuse ability.

The release of this patch and previous patches are available through Nintendo Support’s website. But these are the most recent gameplay updates. Tears of the Kingdom is only supported on the Nintendo Switch. The only patch notes that will be available will generally be based on this console. We hope that as more players download and install this game they will push it to its limits and work in tandem with Nintendo to make this one of the best Zelda games.
