As the Genshin Impact Moonchase Festival approaches, the Moonlight Merriment challenges will have you making sure Liyue is prepped and ready to go. Part of this will be  the Moonlight Seeker challenge, where you will need to locate Moonchase Charms and Mystmoon Chests.

Moonlight Seeker Locations

The Moonlight Seeker challenge is one of a set of challenges available throughout the Moonlight Merriment event. Moonlight Seeker can be accessed once Travelers have completed Moonlight Merriment: Part I, and The Many Matters of the Moonchase Festival.

The other two challenges that will become available at this point in the event are Moonchase Tales and Trail of Delicacies.

In order to collect the main Moonlight Merriment event-exclusive reward, the Luxurious Sea-Lord claymore, Travelers will need to complete Moonlight Seeker. You will achieve this by exploring and expanding the collection progress of designated map areas, collecting Moonchase Charms and Mystmoon Chests to do so.

Travelers will be able to see their collection progress by accessing the event page whilst in the area of interest. Once you reach a certain level of progress, you will be able to claim rewards, including the Luxurious Sea-Lord. You may also receive Primogems when you open Mystmoon Chests, so there is double the incentive to hunt them down!

So where are these Mystmoon Chests? Both Mystmoon Chests and Moonchase Charms are spread out along the coastlines and islands between Mount Hulao and Qingyun Peak. While you can just search the area for Chests and Charms, if you are having trouble, you will be able to get pins to appear on your map. To get these clues to appear, Travelers should seek out quest-exclusive NPC Linyang. You’ll first meet Linyang in Liyue Harbor during The Many Matters of the Moonchase Festival, when she will tell you about the “treasure chests”. You can speak to Linyang every day for additional clues until you’ve collected every chest.

The Moonchase Charms will not necessarily be in the same place as the Chests, so you will need to keep an eye out for both as you explore the waters around Huaguang Stone Forest. However, both Mystmoon Chests and Moonchase Charms will be highlighted on your map upon speaking with Linyang in Liyue Harbor, so you know you won’t miss any, even if you are struggling to find them without help. Don’t forget to speak to Linyang every day in order to make sure you’ve collected them all.
