What is ORX?

ORX is a strategy title that aims to provide a twist on the standard tower-defense formula. The game mixes in elements of deck-building titles, meaning you have to not only manage your kingdom but make sure that you’re literally playing your cards right.

You’ll need to build up your deck as you go since your enemies will continue to get progressively more challenging as you do. There are also two different factions currently available for you to control, with more factions likely post-launch.

ORX also has a really unique art style. It’s sort of a blend of the crosshatch style of Edward Gorey with the prevailing art style on Newgrounds, circa 2005. It’s an interesting blend between cartoony and edgy, and seems to match the tone of the game quite well.

You can check out the trailer at the top of this article if you want to learn more about the gameplay. Even better, check out the game on Steam and add it to your wishlist.
