The Sims 4’s minimum requirements are incredibly low and accommodating for the majority of machines. All that is required for your PC is an Intel GMA X4500, Radeon X1300, or GeForce 6600.

If your PC can play a game at a reasonable framerate on at least low settings and meets the minimum system requirements for it, that game is usually playable. The Sims 4 makes it rather simple to accomplish that.

Even the lower-end Intel GMA X4500 onboard GPUs have certified support! Only a GeForce 6600 or a Radeon x1300 will be required if you have a discrete GPU.

The Sims 4 is, fortunately, one of the games that can be played on the GeForce 6600, which is the 299th most powerful Nvidia GPU and can only run roughly 30% of current games.

The recommended system requirements must be met by your PC in order to install “photorealistic mods” and play with the visuals turned up all the way.

The Sims 4 features some relatively modest needs regarding suggested specifications, which is fantastic for franchise enthusiasts. Your computer simply needs a GeForce GTX 650 and either a Core i5-750 or an Athlon X4 processor.

The basic install size is only around 10 GB, but if you want to install other expansion or game packs, like The Sims 4: Island Living, you’ll need a lot more space than that. Additionally, a straightforward 4 GB of RAM is required, but modern PCs typically have that much.

Although these may be the recommended specs they are older specifications. So for something more recent and low-end, the RTX 3050 or RX 6500 XT are a good choice.

What GPU do I need for Sims 4?

The minimum requirements for the game are only an Intel GMA X4500, Radeon X1300, or GeForce 6600. So you can pretty much run it on anything with a varying amount of quality.

Do I need a discrete GPU for Sims 4?

As a low-graphic game, with a broad audience, the game is aimed at any graphics card option. With such low graphics requirements, you most likely can run it on integrated graphics, as long as it is supported. And you may need to turn down the graphics.
