As the remake of the Last of Us emerges and heads to PC, there is a good selection of PC parts that need to be considered to enjoy it. And so we look to the best GPU for Last of Us Part 1.

The game is a remaster of the original game that came out in 2013 for the PlayStation 3. So with the newer systems coming out and dating graphics, along with the success and rise of the TV show, a remaster was set to take advantage of it, along with bringing it to the PC.

The game’s plot is about surviving and trying to find the cure for the outbreak taking over the United States. Based upon a mutant fungus, you fight your way through the challenges in the third-person shooter.

Those are much more modern choices than usual, so it might be a bit harder to run. And so for an even better experience, there are newer cards to take advantage of.

From the same previous generation, you can benefit from some lower prices. And there are some great choices in there. Ranging from the RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT as the best choice of cards to the top end.

These consist of the RTX 3090 Ti or RX 6950 XT. Which were great performing cards of their generation. Even now offering a good price to performance with the offers currently around.

Whilst if you really want a great future-proof option with the current generation there are a couple of cards offering the top range of performance. As the RTX 4070 Ti and the RX 7900 XTX, both give you top-of-the-range power to last.

Pros

A cheap basic alternative without any extras on top

Simple and basic design without any additions

Cons

Lower quality build with plastic builds

All of these will offer a great option to crank the settings up and take advantage of any taxing additions, such as ray tracing. They should also last sometime in how much they can handle.
