Most of the time simply closing down Discord does not log you out of your account. Typically the application is set to automatically boot up and log you into your account when you start up your computer, though this can be disabled. In any case, should you want to keep the application running but log out of your account (perhaps if you’re sharing your machine with a friend or family member with their own Discord login) then below are the steps you’ll need to do so, whether you’re on an Android device, or a PC or Mac, or using a web browser.
The Discord logo resembles a purple/blue speech bubble with a white controller icon inside it, and should be labelled “Discord” - this is what the shortcut to open the programme looks like. On Windows 7, 10 or later, you will find it in the Windows menu. If you are using Mac OSX, you will find it in the Launchpad. Alternatively if you have made a shortcut icon on your desktop when you installed the app, you can click on this for either operating system. If you use Discord via your web browser, navigate to https://www.discordapp.com and click Open Discord in your browser.
The cog icon should be next to your username at the bottom left of the screen. This will open up the User Settings window.
This should be in the bottom left of the screen. A confirmation window will then appear.
Great success! You are now logged out of Discord!
Open the Discord app on your device.

The cog icon button should be located in the lower-right corner of the screen of your device. It will open up the User Settings window.
