The Acer Aspire Vero was officially unveiled back in May 2021, however, it isn’t until now that we’re starting to see the eco-friendly laptop land in European retailers. The green laptop was launched last week in North America as part of the company’s Earthion project, which aims to help reduce the divide between the tech industry and climate change.
Acer says it has reduced its CO2 emissions by 21% when manufacturing the chassis for this laptop by utilizing 30% PCR plastic. Furthermore, the keycaps offer a 50% PCR design and the packaging can be converted into a makeshift laptop stand – comprised of 100% recyclable plastics.
