The Acer Nitro 16 release date isn’t far away, and though we don’t have an exact date yet, Acer have given us the months in which we can expect to be able to purchase one of these brand new devices, depending on your global region and the specs of the machine. We’ve also got a fair bit of info on the specification options for the device, plus a starting price for the cheapest loadout. See further down this page for all the info.
The Acer Nitro 16 is a new entry to the Nitro series, with 16-inch laptops clearly being in favour in 2024 by brands across the board (see the Alienware X16, Alienware m16, Dell G16, Razer Blade 16, and Acer’s own Predator Helios 16). Unlike the larger Acer Nitro 17, the 16 also has a 16:10 aspect ratio and resolution options to match, giving further choice to the consumer depending on their preference.

The Acer Nitro 16 release date for those with Intel CPUs is May 2023 for North America, China, and the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa).
The Acer Nitro 16 release date for the AMD CPU models is May 2023 for North America, and the EMEA, but April 2023 for China.
Acer Nitro 16 price
The Acer Nitro 16 price for the starting model has been confirmed as $1,149.99 / €1,499 / RMB 7,099. It’s unclear what loadout this will come with, though the best current guess is it will probably have an RTX 4050 GPU.
Acer Nitro 16 specifications
The new Acer Nitro laptops in 2024 all come with Advanced Optimus (i.e. a MUX Switch where you don’t need to reboot the laptop for it to work), as well as liquid metal cooling.
To note: the AMD-specced models seem to come with higher RAM speeds than Intel machines. Intel 13th gen mobile CPUs should be able to support up to DDR5-5200 at least, but it seems that Acer are pairing them with the lower speed RAM. As yer boy Jarrod deduced with some sleuthing, the fact that AMD options support DDR5 indications that they are likely the HS series Ryzen 7000 laptop processors, rather than the HX series.
AMD variants also come with the newer Wi-Fi 6E cards, whereas the Intel variants only have Wi-Fi 6 support, though this is not neccessarily a guarantee of performance.
