We’re looking forward to the AirPods Pro 3 release date. So, early on in the development cycle, we’re going to be laying down our predictions for the release date, specs, price, and other details about the upcoming AirPods Pro 3. Ever since the 2nd generation AirPods Pro 2 released, we’ve been waiting to see if the 3rd generation of the popular AirPods Pro can usher in some improved hardware.

AirPods Pro 3 release date prediction

There’s a long way to wait until the AirPods Pro 3 release date is actually upon us, but there is some interesting news already out there. Ming-Chi Kuo is a reliable source of upcoming news, and they have predicted that the next-generation AirPods Pro 3 are likely to arrive in late 2024, possibly early 2025. That’s the latest news we’ve got at the moment.

Another good indicator is to look at what history tells us on AirPods releases. Apple have a strict schedule when it comes to releasing the likes of iPhones and iOS updates, but what about AirPods?

• AirPods 1st-gen: December 13, 2016
• AirPods 2nd-gen: March 20, 2019
• AirPods Pro 1st-gen: October 30, 2019
• AirPods 3rd-gen: October 26, 2021
• AirPods Pro 2nd-gen: September 23, 2022

Focusing on the AirPods Pro range, there was a three year gap between the 1st and 2nd generation. So, that could mean something similar before we jump to the 3rd generation. Despite that, the jump from the 2nd to 3rd gen for regular AirPods was only 2 years, and that’s what we currently predict.

AirPods Pro 3 price speculation

If we want to look at the price of the AirPods Pro 3, then there is definitely going to be some speculation involved for the time being. Figuring out a price on new generations of Apple products isn’t always the easiest, as we’ll have to wait and see how the specs differ and how the current market looks. Luckily though, things are little different for the AirPods Pro 3.

Right now, there is no expectation that the price will differ from the same $249 price that we saw both the 1st and 2nd gen release with. Hopefully we see this consistency maintained moving forward.

Determining specs this early on has to be taken with a grain of salt, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sense some emerging patterns in AirPods Pro releases. With that being said, here’s a quick list of some key specs and features in the rumor mill.
