Alienware’s 55 OLED Gaming Monitor From CES 2020

Alienware made a real splash at this year’s CES, unveiling a number of different products and technologies all aimed at gamers. Alongside their widely anticipated laptops, peripherals, and new portable console came a couple of stunning gaming monitors. The Alienware 25 and Alienware 55 OLED gaming monitors.

Alienware 55 OLED Gaming Monitor

This huge monitor sets the stage for CES 2020 with an array of impressive specs all wrapped up in a stylish design. It comes to the table boasting a 55″ OLED 4K display which is exciting in itself. Pair that with a high 120Hz refresh rate for silky-smooth gameplay and a wide color gamut of 98.5% DCI-P3 and you have a serious gaming monitor.

Other notable specs include FreeSync support, a 0.5ms response time, and an infinite contrast ratio for a truly immersive experience. The lightning-fast response time is GTG but still offers something we rarely see in a monitor. The most premium of which usually only come equipped with 1ms.

The monitor is currently retailing for around $3,999 which makes it, well, high-end to say the least. Having said that, with this monitor’s specs I actually consider it fairly good value for money. You seldom see a monitor these days with 0.5ms response time, never mind one that has a 55″ display as well.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, what we have here is some sort of TV/monitor combination that not only offers sublime picture clarity and gaming performance, but also stunning immersion as well.

Coming in at just under $4,000 it is on the high end of the spectrum. If you have that kind of money to spend though, we highly recommend having a look at this one because it ticks all the boxes.
