AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPUs are fresh out of the metaphorical oven and have received substantial discounts following Black Friday. These tasty little price cuts have extended into the Cyber Monday festivities, but the 9900X has seen a slight price increase (I guess you can’t have everything).
The launch of the 9000 series was less than desirable for AMD, with low TDPs and too much focus on efficiency driving sales into the floor. Couple that with a few Windows issues hindering performance, and you have a recipe for a floppy launch. All the performance issues have since been fixed, and the 9000 series is now a terrific CPU generation. AMD seems to know that, as they have OK’d decent discounts going into Black Friday, which has extended into Cyber Monday.
The best discount in the 9000 series lineup has to go to the 9900X at 20%; though this CPU slightly increased just before Cyber Monday kicked off, it’s still the best-value CPU on sale. We’ll get into the value these CPUs bring individually, but for now, we just wanted to let you know that this is the CPU you should aim for if you want the most out of your hard-earned cash.
Remember that you will need an AM5 motherboard to use these chips. Luckily, a few of them are on sale for Cyber Monday, and the recent release of the X870 chipset has only helped drive down prices slightly.

Yes, these CPUs are a very good deal; though the 9900X saw a slight price increase for Cyber Monday, the others on the list remained the same. The 9700X and the 9600X are the best prices they have ever been, despite only releasing a couple of months ago, says Camelcamelcamel. So this is the perfect time to score a deal on a new Ryzen 9000 series CPU.
These CPUs are made with efficiency in mind, but you can also squeeze a lot of performance out of them if you have the cooling headroom to back it up (And you enable the 105W TDP mode on the lesser SKUs).
