AMD is set up for a very good Black Friday period if it can keep the shelves stocked.
We all know by now how good the 9800X3D is at gaming workloads; it’s the best CPU we have ever seen. Couple that amazing performance with minor stock issues, and you will have a recipe for a popular processor. With the biggest sales period of the year approaching, AMD is likely to make a killing if it can keep the shelves stocked.
The 9800X3D is Amazon’s number one best-selling CPU and the most wish-listed. This is likely because it’s one of, if not the only, CPUs worth buying this year. AMD had a rocky launch with the 9000 series initially, but it got back on track, and Intel, well, Intel didn’t do very well. The only Team Blue processors in the best-sellers are from the last or 13th generations.
AMD tops best-seller charts on Amazon
If you look at Amazon’s best-seller charts, AMD has been having a good month. Unsurprisingly, we barely see any new Intel CPUs here, but only one base Ryzen 9000 series CPU exists. It shows how unpopular these launches were; everyone held out for the 9800X3D.
Even in the German markets, Intel feels the sting, as AMD also has a clear foothold. TechEpiphany on X pointed out the last month’s sales at Mindfactory, a German retailer. Once again, it looks great for AMD.
AMD sold a whopping 6,175 units, while Intel trailed behind with 360, barely making 40 sales of the new Arrow Lake CPUs. Once again, this proves how truly unpopular they are. However, they are a necessary step towards a more efficient compute. Intel will be one to watch in the coming years. But as of right now, nothing can match the 9800X3D.
We have a few benchmarks to show you if you’re wondering why or what makes the 9800X3D so special.
Regarding raw gaming performance, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D firmly establishes itself as the top contender across every title in this benchmark. In CS2, it absolutely demolishes the competition, hitting an incredible 601.52 FPS. To put that into perspective, the next closest CPU, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, delivers 348.4 FPS—a fantastic result in its own right, but nowhere near the 9800X3D’s staggering numbers. For competitive gamers, this level of performance ensures unmatched responsiveness and smooth gameplay.
In every game tested, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D proves that it’s not just a CPU; it’s a powerhouse built for gamers who demand the very best. Whether chasing the highest FPS for esports or looking for smooth performance in AAA titles, the 9800X3D consistently outperforms its rivals, making it a clear choice for anyone wanting top-tier gaming performance. No wonder it is atop Amazon’s best-sellers right now.
