The new update for AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin has been released with version 22.7.1. With some exciting new features as well as more optimizations and improvements.

It adds support for Swordsman Remake. Along with Radeon Boost with Variable Rate Shading with Elden Ring, Resident Evil Village, and Valorant.

Furthermore, adding support for Windows 11 22H2 version. As well Agility SDK releases 1.602 and 1.606 with Shader Model 6.7. And some additional Vulkan extensions.

One of the bigger features added is AMDs Noise Suppression. Promising to reduce background noise from the environment that uses real-time deep learning algorithm. Improving the clarity and concentration of your voice.

There are also OpenGL optimizations. With a supposed 79% increase in performance at 4k Fabulous on an RX 6950 XT. And 75% improvement for the RX 6400.

Lastly, there are Radeon Super Resolution improvements. With extended support to the RX 5000 and 6000 series GPUs on Ryzen processor notebooks with hybrid graphics. Then improving to seamless experience in borderless fullscreen mode and slider for performance and quality.

Fixed issues

AMD has also fixed some issues with previous releases. One of which is lower than expected Folding@home performance on some cards.

Also an issue of auto undervolt disabling the zero RPM fan feature. Hitman 3 experiences freezing when quickly switching between windows in fullscreen exclusive mode.

Video upscaling in browsers may have been blurry with some AMD graphics like the RX 6900 XT. And then enhanced sync may cause games to lock to 15 FPS with video playback on extended monitors.

Known issues

AMD has acknowledged some issues. One of which is stuttering in Call of Duty Warzone Caldera map with some Radeon cards like the RX 6900 XT.

RSR may not trigger after resolution change or HDR changing in games such as Nioh 2.

Possible issues with VR headsets flickering with AMD graphics.

GPU utilization stuck on 100% in Radeon performance metrics after closing games such as with RX 570.

Displays flickering during video playback and gameplay with an RX 6700 XT.

Enhanced Sync causes a black screen when enabled in some games and system configs.
