AMD Ryzen 4000G series: Where To Buy & How Much?

AMD has just announced its latest line of Ryzen 4000 G-series processors, with Radeon graphics. At least for now, these processors are exclusively being made available to OEM partners, with HP and Lenovo announcing that they have systems currently in the pipeline, that will be available in Fall this year.

What Are The New Ryzen 4000G Series Processors?

AMD executive vice president of Computing and Graphics, Rick Bergman, said this of these new chips:

“In AMD’s latest Ryzen product launch, we have brought the best of both worlds – notebook and desktop – together through our innovative “Zen 2” 7nm APU. Truly one processor that does it all, with the AMD Ryzen 4000G Series we have taken the processors with built-in graphics we perfected for notebooks and optimized for a desktop environment. With this product, initially we are partnering with leading system integrators and some of the biggest PC makers in the industry.”

This means that currently there are no announced plans for selling these chips standalone for system builders. For now, if you want a system powered by one of these processors, you’ll have to look out for upcoming prebuilt systems.

Here’s the breakdown of the models included in this series:

AMD Ryzen 3 4300GE4C/8T35WUp to 4.0 / 3.5 GHz66 MB

What Is The Release Date Of The Ryzen 4000G Series Processors?

All we know about the schedule for these chips is that they will be in systems from HP and Lenovo, and presumably some other major system manufacturers. These will be coming out in Fall later this year.

How Much Will The New Ryzen 4000G Series Processors Cost?

We can probably get some idea of what the prices for these new processors will be by looking at the prices for the previous generation prices. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the 4700G being somewhere in the range of $150.

We’ll update you if they ever do become available to purchase on their own, outside of prebuilt systems from major manufacturers. In the meantime, you can check out the best CPUs for gaming over here.
