AMD revealed a lot of exciting technologies at CES 2023, the most notable of which was the X3D series of Ryzen 7000 processors. We saw what 3D V-cache could do when it was integrated into the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and how it dominated the market at the time. Here’s the Ryzen 7000 X3D release date.

Sadly, AMD didn’t delve into a great deal of detail surrounding the X3D series, but it did give some performance statistics stacked up against the Core i9-13900K. Check the above link if you’re interested.
AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D specifications
There are three CPUs releasing as part of the Ryzen 7000 X3D series line-up, last time we only got one, the 5800X3D, so this time we’re being spoiled. Here are the specifications of each CPU.

AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D release date
Up until recently AMD had only specified the month in which the Ryzen 7000 series X3D CPUs will release. AMD described the release as “sometime in February 2023” Thankfully, someone at AMD leaked the information when posting a Specification page for the 7800X3D.
The leak on the specification page stated that the release date for the 7800X3D is the 14th of February 2023, Valentine’s day.
We assume that the same release date is true for all of the X3D CPUs, however, we do not know this for sure. It would be highly unlikely for AMD to stagger the release of the Ryzen 7000 X3D series CPUs. For now we will assume the Ryzen 7000 X3D release date is the 14th of February 2023.
What is the Ryzen 7000 series V-cache?
AMD’s 3D V-cache is a technology that was introduced with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. 3D V-cache is stacked vertically instead of laterally. The goal was to use 3D stacking technology to place a 64MB SRAM die on top of the Ryzen 5800X’s CPU silicon to boost the CCD’s cache size, and AMD succeeded.
This larger cache size meant that the 5800X3D could store much more data on-chip, and limit the number of times the CPU needed to search system RAM for data. What this means is that AMD found a way to accelerate workloads that benefit from having more data stored on the chip at any one time, and games fall into this category.
