Not content with their tease of the next generation of Radeon Graphics cards inside Fortnite, AMD continues the drip-feed of hints that they’re readying an announcement of their upcoming Big Navi based graphics cards. Not to be left out of all the excitement surrounding the unveiling of Nvidia’s GeForce 30-Series graphics cards, AMD appears to be preparing for their announcement, at least if our interpretation of a tweet from their Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions & Marketing is spot on.

Frank Azor, Co-founder of Alienware, and AMD’s Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions & Marketing, has posted this cryptic tease to his twitter account:

“The sun’ll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
‘Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow, tomorrow!
I love ya tomorrow!
You’re always
A day
Away!”

Musical fans may recognize these as the lyrics to the song “Tomorrow” from the iconic broadway musical Annie, which originally opened in 1977. The stage play has since inspired a host of sequels, movie adaptations, and even got sampled by your man Jay-Z back in 1998.

We know that Big Navi is going to be coming soon, but a precise schedule is not still clear. Will tomorrow bring a release date, official unveiling, or perhaps just a schedule for the official start of their campaign. Only time will tell.

The pressure is certainly on AMD to deliver, where they’re smashing it on the CPU front these days, but have a lot of ground to make up if they want to go toe to toe with Nvidia in the GPU race. Broadly speaking, Nvidia has knocked it out of the park with their announcement of the 30-Series, and for sustained healthy competition in the space, we hope that AMD can deliver some impressive cards too.

What do you think, is Frank Azor just a big fan of musical theatre, or is this a hint that the official reveal campaign for AMD’s next generation of GPUs could begin in earnest some time tomorrow?
