Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Leaked Boss Fight Footage

Over the past couple of days, Ubisoft has been fighting to get leaked footage of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla off the internet. Originally, we saw a 30-minute video of leaked footage from the game, but it was pretty blurry. That’s since been taken down but leakers have come back with a vengeance. A shorter gameplay video has recently emerged. This time it’s a 7-minute video with slightly sharper footage which shows us a boss fight.

What Does the Leaked Footage Show Us?

The video throws us into a boss fight in the midst of a rainy storm, with moody lighting and weather effects setting the scene. We see the use of thunder and lightning, which you’d expect from anything Viking-related.

In the footage, we see the female protagonist, Eivor take on a boss named Cordelia. We don’t know much about the context of this fight but it does look like a side-activity within the region. So, we don’t imagine it’s a massive spoiler in the game but we’ll have to wait and see where this scene slots in. We also get a glimpse of the menus, skill tree, inventory and a sprawling map of East Anglia.

You can see the leaked footage in the video below (providing it’s not pulled by Ubisoft).

What Do We Know About Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Gameplay?

If you’re not already caught up on all the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla news and gameplay details, here’s a quick rundown of what to expect.

Lead Epic Raids

According to the Ubisoft store page, a huge part of Valhalla will be to launch assaults against Saxon troops and guarded fortresses throughout England. You will be able to lead your clan into battle and launch surprise attacks on enemy territories. Along the way, you’ll get the opportunity to grab all the riches and resources you can.

Visceral Combat

It wouldn’t be an Assassin’s Creed game without a whole load of combat – especially a game featuring the Vikings. You’ll play as a ruthless Viking warrior and wield a combination of swords and dual-wield axes against your enemies.

Players can choose what tactics to use in combat. Riddle them with a series of arrows from afar, dismember them in close-quarters combat or use the element of surprise to assassinate enemies with a hidden blade.

Write Your Viking Saga

Assassin’s Creed’s advanced RPG mechanics means you can forge your own saga. Grow as a warrior and leader, influence the world and build your skills to suit your personal playstyle.

Carve a path across England with a series of bloody battles lying in your wake or form strategic alliances and get ahead with your cunning and wits.

Release Dates and Platforms

Assassin’s Creed’s latest installment in the series, Valhalla is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X this holiday season. We don’t have an exact date yet but it looks like it will be one of the flagship titles to go along with the brand new console launches. We’ll keep you updated whenever we find out the launch dates of those.

We’re expecting to get some more information at the Ubisoft Forward event taking place on July 12th. We’ll be on hand to cover all the announcements for that event. So, be sure to check back at WePC for all the latest news.
