Launch Price For ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 Revealed

There’s a little bit more competition in the gaming laptop market as AMD made quite an entrance with the Ryzen 9 4900HS – which reportedly already outshines Intel’s Core i9 9880H and the Core i9 9980HK.

ASUS unveiled their upcoming Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop at CES 2020 which will be the first gaming laptop to feature this new processor from AMD.

How Much Will The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 Gaming Laptop Cost?

Up until now, the price of this laptop has been a bit of a mystery so it’s good to finally see how much this will cost potential customers, as well as giving us an idea of where it falls in the market.

Some online retailers have created sales pages for the ASUS Zephyrus G14 already, featuring the Ryzen 9 CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q GPU. The laptop model which features a 1080p display on a 14-inch screen is currently priced at $1,450.

This is in line with what we would expect in the market and what we’ve already seen from similar laptops packing the RTX 2060 graphics card. These are typically sold for around $1,100. So, the new addition of the AMD processor hikes the price up a bit, but considering the jump in CPU performance, it’s less steep than we were expecting.

When Will The Zephyrus G14 Gaming Laptop Be Available?

We don’t yet know exactly when these ASUS laptops will be available for purchase. At the moment, retailers such as Best Buy have listed the prices and in some cases made them available for pre-order. However, there’s no firm date for release yet.

We will be keeping our eyes peeled for any more updates on this laptop. We expect that there will be some delay in getting them out to customers, given that the COVID-19 has really disrupted commercial sales as well as everything else. The moment we hear an update, we will keep you in the know.
