Console gamers have been waiting for HDMI 2.1 supporting TVs and monitors for some time now. And whilst the market is beginning to populate itself with great HDMI 2.1 monitors, they’re still considered expensive when compared against HDMI 2.0 alternatives.
Fortunately, Best Buy has decided to slash prices on one of the market’s leading HDMI 2.1 TVs – the LG OLED48CXPUB! It currently retails at a shade under $1,300, making it an incredibly exciting prospect for any console gamer.
The 48″ HDMI 2.1 TV from LG isn’t exactly new in the market, so chances are you may already know what this beast brings to the table. However, for those that don’t, users can expect a large 47.6″ OLED panel that provides stunning image quality thanks to a 4K UHD screen resolution. As you may already know, OLED panels have the potential to display massive contrast ratios – thanks to their ability to individually shut down pixels. This also greatly improves local dimming and offers impressive image quality when playing games or watching high-definition movie content.
In terms of speed, OLED panels offer incredibly quick response times. The refresh rate of this particular panel is 120Hz, providing users with a fluid, stutter-free gaming experience. Pair this with the TV’s HDMI 2.1 support and next-gen console gamers will be able to relish in the joys of 4K gaming @ 120Hz. Unfortunately, and like most TVs, the LG OLED48CXPUB doesn’t offer a tonne of adjustments via the stand. However, it does come with 300 x 200mm VESA wall mount support.
As this monitor was released back in 2020, it’s currently available in all major retailers. Having said that, if you want to snap up a great deal on this monitor today, Best Buy is currently offering one of the best prices. Its current price sees $200 knocked off, and for me, that makes this TV one of the most attractive prospects on the web.
