Now when it comes to some good cooling, there have been some Computex innovations that bring about the best PC case fans at Computex 2023. If it’s the fans themselves with more features or the connection that brings them together, there are still changes happening to a part that seems so basic.
Corsair iCUE Link – QX RGB fans
Firstly we have the iCue Link and the new fans to feature with the new connector available for all its RGB components. These bring some simplicity to the way you build your gaming PC. You can now daisy chain the components with just one cable to connect those to the hub itself. As such it has made it a lot simpler and cleaner way to build out the system.
So for fans, you get the QX120/140’s depending on the size you’re after. As such get good flexibility on where to fit them and where to use them. But it certainly does bring some good cable management out of it.
Lian Li UNI TL LCD Fan
Now for more RGB and LCD screens, Lian Li has the UNI series of fans unveiled. These continue the daisy chain option of sticking together, however, now have the addition of screens on the gan hub itself. This means you can now play gifs down the front of your PC as they are programmable and you can pick where they go for ultimate customizability.
Lian Li is expecting to launch these in Q3 for a rough MSRP of $130, and we can hope that’s at least for three of them and with a hub. But it certainly does provide good customization.
Noctua A series fan
Lastly, we get a look at the fan favorite with the Noctua A series of fans. In its Computex booth, it showcases the 8-year development it took. The particular challenge comes with the gap between the casing and the fan. Turning to liquid crystal polymer (LCP) to prevent expansion and drag it took time to get it right, for the best tight tip clearance.
You can expect the pressure/airflow-optimized fan for heatsinks and radiators to launch in Q1 2024.
