Whether you’re an airflow or RGB enthusiast, Computex always brings us a plethora of new PC cases ready to release later in the year. Computex 2023 had a mixture of refined refreshes and some rather interesting concepts thrown together, giving system builders a few tantalizing options for the second half of the year. For us, Lian Li stole the show, however, Phanteks, Thermaltake, and a few more were nipping at their toes, giving us a variety of form factors and features.

Lian Li O11 VISION – a sight for sore eyes

We have mentioned this case an awful lot over the week and for good reason, it’s beautiful. Remember, we are basing our opinion here mostly on looks as we are yet to test any of these but the O11 VISION stood out among some impressive models and looks set to be a rather popular option when released.

You can probably see why this is call the VISION. Lian Li used feedback from the PCMR community and have finally done away with that column that use to interrupt the view inside. While it is hard to see on the image above, the top panel is now also tempered glass, with a slightly mirrored finish. Overall, it looks stunning, we just hope that it performs as well as its older sibling.

Cooler Master NCore 100 Max – SFF for chonky GPUs

SFF vertical cases can be a bit hit and miss, but the NCore 100 Max looks fantastic. With a bit of a metallic finish, room for an RTX 4090, taking up only 15.6 liters of volume, and a width of an A5 piece of paper, what more could you need? It’s a bit niche but we love to see more ITX options being released.

With the small size, you are limited in the expansions, with just one drive bay for a 2.5-inch bay and a small I/O expansion. That’s all part of the fun though isn’t it?

Phanteks NV5 – An uninterrupted view is coming in mid-tower form

Every case manufacturer is following this uninterrupted view trend and we love it. Phanteks make high-quality PC cases and this looks like a sublime option. The NV7 was a resounding success so we look forward to the more accessible NV5 mid-tower model in the coming months. Phanteks are also releasing the bigger NV9 PC case too, with increased radiator support over the smaller NV7.

Streacom Fanless SG10 – The most interesting concept case

Collaborating with Calyos, the SG01’s aim is to passively cool high performance systems. A system designed for spaceships by the USSR, it opts for two-phase heat transfer by capillary action to remove heat and passively move it to a radiator or condenser.

The case features a milled aluminum chassis and structural steel, making it quite heavy, however, this is required for its cooling. The front and back I/O ports can be moved, components are mounted diagonally, and it can support a GPU up to 280mm in length and a TBP of 350W without fans.

Thermaltake CTE C750 TG ARGB – CTE form factor

Thermaltake introduced an number of different cases at Computex, however, the C750 TG ARGB was the one that caught our eye the most. The “CTE” form factor  focuses on providing excellent thermal performance to important components by rotating the motherboard by 90 degrees.

As you can see, this approach has the CPU nearer the front intake, moving the GPU towards the rear. This is suppose to enhance airflow inside the case and to your components. It’s a cool idea but how much cooler than before remains to be seen.

That concludes our roundup of the best PC cases from Computex 2023. To see a bunch of other eye-cathcing tech, check out our biggest head turners article.
