If you’re looking at buying a 3090 Ti you may first want to know what it actually features. The card is built upon the GA102-350 GPU, the top-end full spec of the Ampere architecture. And also the newest coming out in March 2022.
It is built with an 8nm Samsung process, creating a 628mm² sized die with 28.3 billion transistors. With that, it holds 10,752 CUDA cores, 336 TMUs, 112 ROPs, 84 SMs, and 84 RT cores.
These are clocked at a 1,560 MHz base clock and a 1,860 MHz boost clock by standard but may vary depending on your card. While in terms of memory it has 24 GB of GDDR6X across a 384-bit bus, clocked at 21 Gbps it has a bandwidth of 1,008 GB/s.
And lastly, it has a TDP of 450W. Requiring a massive 3.5-slot cooler on the FE card. Whilst most other options push them up to 4-slot width. So some third parties have opted for a water-cooled solution cutting down the size and potentially pushing the performance.
