Biwin just announced its upcoming UDIMM DDR5 memory, compatible with the next-gen Intel Z890 and AMD X870 platforms, delivering speeds of up to 8800 MT/s.
Biwin has introduced its upcoming memory solution for the next generation of Intel and AMD processors, called the Opal DW100 UDIMM DDR5 memory. These UDIM (Unbuffered DIMM) memory sticks will achieve transfer speeds of up to 8800 MT/s and will be compatible with the upcoming Arrow Lake S and Zen 5 CPUs. Additionally, the Opal DW100 will support Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO, allowing users to further optimize memory settings.
In terms of design, the Opal DW100 UDIMM DDR5 memory will feature a 10-layer PCB, which reduces electromagnetic interference and system noise while enhancing signal integrity for improved reliability and performance. Additionally, these RAM sticks provide better power stability and minimize power fluctuations, making them ideal for overclocking.
Overclock your Biwin Opal DW100 UDIMM DDR5 memory to 8800 MT/s speeds
Biwin has also provided the correct CL timings for both XMP 3.0 and EXPO users, allowing them to configure their Opal DW100 to 8800 MT/s for Intel Z890 and 8400 MT/s for AMD X870 motherboards. To achieve 8800 MT/s, the CL timings are CL 44-56-56-134, while for the 8400 MT/s on AMD X870 motherboards, the timings are 40-52-52-126 at 1.45V.
It’s important to note that these are UDIMM memory sticks, not CUDIMM, which is the latest memory type featuring Error Correction Code and extremely high speeds at a premium cost. However, UDIMM is much more affordable than CUDIMM memory sticks and still offers decent performance out of the box.
Opal DW100 UDIMM DDR5 memory sticks are expected to roll out by Q4 2025
Since the latest Intel and AMD platforms can support speeds over 8000 MT/s, Biwin is ensuring that their memory sticks capitalize on this capability. The Opal DW100 UDIMM DDR5 memory sticks are currently available in two colors, black and white, and are expected to start shipping by Q4 2025.
