As revealed via the Call of Duty blog via the official site, a new season for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty Warzone is about to get underway. The new season, dubbed Season 5 Reloaded, will be kicking off from Tuesday, Sep 7 with the deployment of a new game update. This update will bring with it new multiplayer and zombies content, including an event called The Numbers. Also making an appearance during Season 5 Reloaded will be Judge Dredd, the dystopian Dirty Harry-inspired Mega City One cop from 2000AD.

When does Season 5 Reloaded start?

Call of Duty Season 5 Reloaded will officially begin on Thursday, September 9. This will be after updates are completed for Black Ops Cold War on September 7 (at 9pm PT /  12am ET) and Warzone on September 8 (9pm PT / 12am ET).

Season 5 Reloaded content

  • The return of the 6v6 Zoo multiplayer map from 2011’s Escalation DLC pack for Call of Duty Black Ops. Available on day one of Season 5 Reloaded will be a dedicated Zoo 24/7 Featured Playlist.
  • Also making a reappearance is the Demolition game Mode. Likened to an “amped-up” Search and Destroy, Demolition Mode debuted in Dall of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and was last seen in 2020.
  • For Warzone, the massive 50v50 Clash is returning. Clash takes classic parts of the Verdansk map and has players fight to amass 500 points. Also for Warzone fans will be a new battle royale mode called Iron Trials ‘84 with tweaked Gulag rules.
  • The Numbers event will start September 21 and will be how players can work to unlock The Sai, a blocking melee weapon made famous of course by TMNT’s Raphael. Also during the event, players can unlock two Judge Dredd skins for Ingo Beck. Dredd’s iconic Lawgiver pistol will be one of three Dredd-themed weapon blueprints. (The others being the Quick Judgement SMG and the Arbitrator assault rifle.)
  • A new store bundle will be available called Get Hudson, which sees Special Agent Jason Hudson return to Call of Duty
  • Last but not least, fans of Call of Duty Zombies can look forward to a new North Atlantic-themed Outbreak region called Armada. A new Black Chest will be part of a new Outbreak World Event.
