The open beta for Call of Duty Vanguard may have started later than most weekend betas (unless you had early access of course), but Activision have made amends by extending the Vanguard Open Beta by two extra days. The CoD Vanguard Open Beta is now scheduled to end at 10am PT / 1pm ET on September 22 (6pm for those in the UK).
The extended beta is good news for players that have been struggling to reach level 20. Those that manage to before the Vanguard Open Beta ends will receive the Rat-a-Tat Assault Rifle Epic Weapon Blueprint when the game launches November 5. Progression in the beta will also benefit those that play Warzone, with a number of Tier Skips issued for the Warzone Season Five Battle Pass, based on how far players have progressed in the Vanguard Open Beta.
Call of Duty Vanguard Beta Gameplay
The latest CoD Open Beta kicked off at 10am PT on September 18, debuting the new Patrol Mode. Other game modes include Search & Destroy, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and the venerable Team Deathmatch.
Maps in the Vanguard Open Beta include the once-decadent Hotel Royal, Gavutu Island, Red Star (based in Stalingrad), and Eagle’s Nest, based of course on Hitler’s holiday retreat.
