Chasing Static is an upcoming new psychosocial horror game. By a micro-indie studio in Bristol, Headware Games are a brilliant group of people who are developing a retro horror game for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
“Chasing Static is a first-person psychological horror short story. Uncover the forgotten remains of a government cover-up where a mysterious phenomenon caused time to stand still.”
Chasing Static Story
You play as Chris Selwood, a man who seeks refuge from a fierce storm in a remote roadside café. Except this café isn’t quite the sanctuary he’d hoped for. Instead Chris finds himself venturing into the woods after hearing the screams of the café waitress.
Through Chris, players will get to explore the untouched wilderness of rural Wales as we uncover the remains of a government cover-up. An event in which time was caused to stand still.
The game is inspired by 80s Sci-Fi Horror and contemporary surrealist cinema. This game seems to be paving the way to becoming a fantastic and memorable experience. Especially for those gamers who love more contemporary horror that doesn’t rely on monsters and jump-scares.
Chasing Static Features
Developers are particularly proud of the game, wanting to share their artistic horror experience with us all. Considering the game will be released on nearly any and all consoles, if you’re a fan of old-school horror, this will be a must-have.
Chasing Static Release Date
Chasing Static, the retro psychological horror game, launches on October 14, 2021 for PC. The game will also be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in Q1 2022.
We hope you’ll get this game as soon as it drops cause I certainly will!
