Check Out This Commentary-Free Gameplay Footage of Cyberpunk 2077

As various press outlets recount their first hours with Cyberpunk 2077 and release captured clips of their time with the game, it can be hard tracking raw gameplay footage free of commentary.

That’s not to say hands-on insights from weathered gaming journalists aren’t vital to get a sense of what CD Projekt Red’s upcoming dystopian RPG is all about, but nothing beats just letting the games speak for itself.

Fortunately, a commentary-free video of the Cyberpunk 2077 demo has popped up online, and it’s as glorious as it sounds. It covers a lot of what appeared in yesterday’s first episode of Night City Wire free of interruption. There’s uncut combat, including a heated gunfight from the back of a car careening through an industrial complex, a pushy encounter with the Night City PD, various dialogue, the very same braindance segment, and a look at the three different prologue intros CD Projekt Red detailed yesterday.

Depending on what class the player opts for during character creation, the game starts with a radically different opening section, as well as varying dialogue options and outcomes later on in the game. The three paths are Nomad, Street Kid, and Corporate. The names offer pretty clear descriptions of what players can expect.

However, the stand out has to be Nomad, where the player starts in the sandy badlands that encircle Night City before venturing into the neon metropolis. Much has been said about the city, but from what the footage shows, the surrounding cactus-strewn Mojave Desert-like area looks just as intriguing.

Short of playing the game ourselves, the footage is about as good as it gets right now. It’s also available in up to 1440p, which helps highlight just how good Cyberpunk 2077 looks.

Cyberpunk 2077 is slated for release on November 19th, 2020, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Stadia.
