Corsair is now officially among the first few ones to reach 10,000 MT/s memory speed with its Vengence DDR5 CUDIMM memory on the ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF.
Previously, we saw V-Color CUDIMM DDR5 memory hit the 10,000 MT/s mark on the Gigabyte Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE, and now Corsair is stepping up to the challenge. Corsair is set to debut its first-ever CUDIMM DDR5 memory next month, but they didn’t want to miss out on the action. The company conducted an overclocking experiment with early samples of its Vengeance CUDIMM DDR5 memory, achieving impressive speeds of 10,000 MT/s.
Corsair secures its spot in the top 5 memory makers to reach 10,000 MT/s
From the CPU-Z screenshots Corsair attached in their X post, the CUDIMM can be seen running at a clock speed of 5,000.6 MHz, securing its place among the top 5 memory makers to reach 10,000 MT/s. Additionally, the screenshots reveal that this speed was achieved on the flagship ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF motherboard, which previous reports indicated was capable of reaching speeds of 10,133 MT/s.
A few more details about this overclocking setup: the Vengeance CUDIMM uses an SK Hynix die and is XMP 3.0 compatible, which helped it reach this high clock speed. Another interesting detail is that the module featured a 24GB capacity and was used in another overclocking test as part of a 48GB kit, as shown by Corsair. This second test resulted in a memory speed of 9,732 MT/s with CAS timings of 46-60-60-154 at 1.45V.
ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Apex still leads with 12,066 MT/s
While this is undoubtedly a great achievement for Corsair, especially since this will be their first DDR5 CUDIMM memory, the company has yet to claim the top spot. That honor goes to the ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Apex motherboard, which achieved an insane memory speed of 12,066 MT/s with the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU.
Still, Corsair is known for its affordable yet premium gaming memory kits, and now it holds a record-high score with its upcoming memory lineup. Corsair announced that these sticks will be available in early November, with 24GB single and 48GB dual-channel kits, but pricing details remain under wraps.
