It’s safe to say that the LG C2 2022 range might be the most anticipated OLED TV lineup of the year. It was officially unveiled at CES 2022 back in January and has sparked excitement amongst gamers and LG loyalists. While not many retailers are stocking the LG C2 OLED TV just yet, UK consumers do have a couple of options for pre order – with delivery dates expected within 5 days of ordering (at time of writing this).

Interestingly, prices for certain LG C2 sizes seem to be inconsistent across some of the UK’s leading electronics retailers. Right now, the cheapest place you can pick up the LG C2 42-inch is over at Currys – now listing for £1,299.

LG C2 OLED TV lists for £1,299 over at Currys

Currys is amongst the few names stocking the LG C2 OLED TV lineup, offering up the LG C2 42 inch, 55 inch, 65 inch, and 83 inch variants. Better still, Currys is actually retailing the LG C2 42 inch at £1,299 – £100 cheaper than what John Lewis is asking.

John Lewis was the first of the bunch to push its LG C2 pre order pages back in February, publishing identical prices for the LG C2 42 inch and 48 inch variants. Despite this weird pricing, many TV enthusiasts weren’t too concerned with it – stating that even though the 42 inch was smaller than the 48 inch, it would cost more to produce due to the manufacturing process (and wastage).

Since then, Currys has also started listing the LG C2 42 inch – however, it isn’t quite as expensive as it is over at John Lewis. The 42 inch C2 over at Currys is currently listing for £100 cheaper than John Lewis – seemingly more accurate when considering the size differences of the two models.

One thing worth mentioning is that the LG C2 48-inch model is currently exclusive to John Lewis – meaning they could have reduced the pricing of that to entice buyers in.

Ultimately, whether you choose Currys or John Lewis, the LG C2 series will be more than we first expected. When comparing the price of the LG C2 vs C1, it’ll come as no surprise that the C2 is more expensive. Whether you can justify the difference in launch price between the two generations of OLED TV is up to you. However, if you can, you’ll be getting one of the best gaming TVs of 2022.
