This year has been especially good for those looking for a more budget, entry level gaming laptop, with particularly strong deals on the Acer Nitro and ASUS TUF series. How to get the best gaming laptop deal this Cyber Monday?
There are loads of gaming laptops on the market and loads of discounted models in the Cyber Monday sales, so here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect with each major brand.
Alienware – high-end models, super sleek designs, decent discount, but still expensive.
HP – decent gaming laptops, but better for more entry-level budgets.
ASUS – TUF series is one of the best for budget gaming laptops, its ROG line is more for performance. Both very good, and get big discounts
ACER – Nitro is its budget, non-flashy line, and Predator is its higher end, performance line. Both tend to get massive discounts and are well worth your time.
Gigabyte – Not a huge selection, but decent options available. Better for those in the UK in my experience.
MSI – loads of options that all have deep discount. Its Thin range in particular is well worth looking at.
Lenovo – another good brand for budget gaming laptops. Big discounts too.
Amazon, Newegg, and Best Buy are some of the best major retailers to go to for gaming laptop deals, unless you fancy going direct to the brand itself. You can get exclusive offers doing this, such as membership rewards and free shipping, but I’d say it’s better to be able to compare everything in one place – like you can do on Amazon.
I’d highly recommend using a price tracking tool to make sure the deals are as good as they look. Gaming laptops tend to get quite big discounts that can catch your eye, but if you check the pricing history it may well have rarely ever been at full price. Don’t get caught out!
When do Cyber Monday gaming laptop sales start and end?
This year, Cyber Monday is officially on December 2nd, but we’re seeing deals roll in early.
Cyber Monday deals may extend a few days past December 2nd, but they won’t be branded as such. It’s also likely that whatever is discounted then will be discounted nearer to the Holiday season too.
