The Day 1 Elden Ring patch notes have gone live. The developers did not go into too intricate details. Rather, they just bullet-pointed a list of things the Day 1 Elden Ring patch notes are implementing. Like most day 1 patches, it will get significant quality and technical improvements.
The list of changes features the usual better player control settings and UI adjustments for text and general language improvements. The more technical side of things also includes a range of FPS boost in certain laggy situations, bettering the game’s overall optimization. Meanwhile, there are other balance changes like fixing the most difficult content at different stages of the game and adjusting the other NPC-related issues.
Bandai Namco also stated the patch is installed after the game’s initial download. If you have pre-loaded the game already, then you can get the patch now. However, if you’re still to download the base game, then you need to complete your installation as normal before the Fay 1 patch download begins.
The publisher also warns players may need to check for updates too manually. Head over to the Elden Ring on your console and then check for updates. If you’re on PlayStation, this is under the options tab on the Elden Ring game in your library, while Xbox players can find it in the manage add-ons under your Elden Ring options.
If you’re playing on a console, then the chances are you have some time to get this downloaded. All consoles players can access the game at midnight local time, so if you’ve got time to kill you have some room to breathe. However, the game is about to launch in NZ, so NZ players you should get on this ASAP.
