Guerrilla Collective is going on right now! They’ve just shown off a gameplay trailer for Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle.
Daymare, Fighter of The Nightman
As per the official Steam page for the title:
“Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is a third-person story-driven survival horror game prequel to the critical acclaimed Daymare: 1998. Step into the shoes of agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy now in the service of H.A.D.E.S. unit and prepare to face the true horror.”
You can’t really get away from the inevitable comparisons to the original Resident Evil trilogy. You can see the inventory management system is almost ripped from a Resident Evil title, the H.A.D.E.S logo on the back of Dalila Reyes looks extremely similar to the STARS logo and font and the third-person over the shoulder camera just screams Resident Evil. Hopefully the game can get in front of these similarities.
What is the game?
The original Daymare: 1998 released back in 2019 and was developed by Invader Studios. It’s set in a research facility with a chemical weapon and has you taking on zombies as you figure out what exactly is going on here. The series is heavily inspired by 90s survival horror games, as you can probably tell from the gameplay trailer for the new title.
