The newest Dead by Daylight update prevents the abuse of Boil Over in specific map locations where the killer has no choice but to drop from a height. It still stays relevant for longer walks and especially for basement access. At over 75% wiggle progress, it still results in an instant drop to prevent abuse and exploits. The wiggle mechanic has been buffed even further in the new update to make falling from heights less punishing.

What to Expect From The New Dead By Daylight Update?

The previous update caused a bug that prevented the Nurse from lunging after a blink if the attack input would be pressed before the end of the blink. Behavior Interactive has addressed the issue along with other concerns surrounding the recent updates. The devs are also aware of some existing issues and we can expect more tweaks to the wiggle mechanic and other audio bugs in the near future.

Dead by Daylight Update 5.5.2 Patch Notes

Here are the highlights of the new update:

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Survivors to use ”Dead Hard” to jump on rocks near the Ferry Boat.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Jonah’s tablet to be visible on the floor of the Vat room in The Game map.
  • Fixed an issue that caused hooks in the Eyrie of Crows map to be missing the white glow from Scourge Hook perks.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a small part of the Entity to stretch when a Survivor is sacrificed.
