Dell XPS 15 9500 And 17 9700 Specifications Leaked

Some recent leaks regarding Dell’s upcoming XPS laptops have been revealed. A recently uncovered leak shows that these new laptops have been confirmed by Dell France, with product pages going live for only a brief period of time.

What Do We Know About Dell XPS Laptops So Far?

First of all, we found out that these laptops will be featuring Comet Lake-S CPUs and Nvidia GeForce graphics cards.

The new range of laptops coming from Dell includes two models – the Dell XPS 15 9500 which is a 15-inch laptop and the XPS 17 9700 which is a 17-inch laptop.

These laptops feature a slim design and are thought to be Dell’s new answer to the Apple Mac Pro 16.

So far, it’s the XPS 17 model which has gained the most attention. This is the first 17 inch XPS laptop Dell has released since 2013. This laptop is 2.5 cm thick and weighs 2.5 kg. It may not be the lightest or thinnest laptop on the market but it has other qualities that make it stand out.

The screen will be a 16:10 aspect ratio IPS 500 nits panel and offers a 3840 x 2400 resolution version which has touch support too.

Other details about the new laptops include the addition of quad-speakers tuned by Jack Joseph Puig, soldered WiFi, a choice of either 86 Wh or 97 Wh batteries, and dual NVME slots for the 9700 model.

Dell XPS Laptop Processors

For the processors, buyers will be able to select one of four options. These laptops come with either an Intel Core i5 10300H, Core i7 10750H, Core i710875H or the Core i9 10885H.

Interestingly, the Core i9 option hasn’t actually been released by Intel yet so it could be some time before we see these laptops hit the market (at least for the Core i9 version).

The Core i9 CPU features eight cores and offers a boost clock speed of up to 5.3 GHz. Besides that, we don’t know a lot about the processor or how it differs from the more well-known Core i9 10980HK CPU.

Dell XPS Laptop Graphics

These laptops will be powered by either Intel’s UHD 630 graphics, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, or an Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti.

The XPS 15 model supports up to an Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti GPU as the top option. For those looking at the Nvidia RTX 2060, you will need to go for the XPS 17 model as this is the only one of the two that supports this GPU.

How Much Will The Dell XPS Laptops Cost?

Unfortunately, the listings on the Dell France website didn’t show any pricing information or a release date.

We’re hoping to hear more details about these two laptops soon beside the above and the leaked pictures we’ve seen. If we hear anything else in the meantime, we will keep you updated.
