The latest raid for Destiny 2 features some of the most interesting weapons and armor to date for the game. Many of the weapons are also designed around the new subclass which makes many players want to farm for specific rolls of each weapon.
Of course, while farming you will want to make sure you are putting your effort into the right areas. There is no reason to run the whole raid if the item you want drops from the first encounter. Let’s go over the full loot table for Root of Nightmares.
Full Root of Nightmares Loot Table
Each piece of raid loot has a specific chest that it will drop from. This means that there are some encounters that will be unable to drop specific weapons and pieces of armor. Here is the full table of raid loot in Root of Nightmares:
Encounter | Loot |
First Encounter, Survive the Onslaught | Briar’s Contempt, Koraxis’s Distress, Nessa’s Oblation, Helmet, Chest Armor, Arms Armor |
Second Encounter, Enter the Root | Mykel’s Reverence, Koraxis’s Distress, Acasia’s Rejection, Nessa’s Oblation, Chest Armor, Arms Armor, and Leg Armor |
Third Encounter, Zo’aurc | Mykel’s Reverence, Rufus’s Fury, Acasia’s Rejection, Koraxis’s Distress, Chest Armor, Class Item, Leg Armor |
Fourth Encounter, Nezarec | Condition Finality, Mykel’s Reverence, Rufus’s Fury, Acasia’s Rejection, Koraxis’s Distress, Briar’s Contempt, Helmet, Class Item, Leg Armor |
There are also two secret chests that can be found throughout the raid. These chests will be able to drop any weapon or armor piece that you have already acquired from the raid. These chests are a great way of farming raid weapons with the best perks possible on them.
It should be noted that all raids in Destiny 2 will only drop loot on your first run-through with a character per week. So you can only get loot from Root of Nightmares three times per week if you have three raid-ready characters.
You’ll want to keep track of the weekly reset time for Destiny 2, so you can know when you are eligible to earn more root from the raid.
