If you had the chance to witness the epic conclusion to the previous season, you may have been wondering when to expect Season 11. The good news is that Season 11 of Destiny 2 arrives today. The bad news is that we don’t know too much about it as of yet.
What Can We Expect This Season?
Well, that’s a great question! Until late yesterday we didn’t even know the title of Season 11, nevermind what we could see in it. Thankfully, a sharp-eyed user spotted a listing on the PlayStation Store that gave a few small details about the upcoming season, including its name.
Destiny 2’s next season will be “Season of Arrival.”

Season 11 of Destiny 2 will simply be titled “Season of Arrivals” as spotted in a “Silver Bundle” listing on the Australian PlayStation store. We don’t yet know what “Arrivals” implies, could it be returning alien races? The Frozen Hive again? We’ll have to wait to find out.
We’ll likely see a new antagonist at the very least, but with it being named Arrivals and not Arrival, could we see multiple?
We do have some slight teasers for what to expect though. In Bungie’s weekly update, they shared some early patch notes that explain a few key changes. We won’t list each update here, but some of the key headings include:
- Legendary Armor Ornaments – Gameplay reward for aspirational content
- Season Pass updated
- Some Raid rewards have increased drop chances
- Trial rewards slightly reworked.

When Can We Jump In?
The beginning of Season 11 is due to start today and will be available for download at around 9:00 PT / 18:00 BST. The game will be taken offline an hour before this time to roll out the update, but in the meantime, Bungie will be hosting a livestream to go through some of the key details of Season 11.
