DOTA 2 Patch Notes 7.30d Update Info

There are a lot of changes to DOTA2 in the patch notes for version 7.30d.

DOTA2, created by Valve Corporation, is one of the most played MOBA games in the world. It’s the main competitor to Riot Games’ League of Legends, which itself was a spiritual successor to the Warcraft 3 Defense of the Ancients mod.

As a highly competitive online multiplayer game, patches must be made from time to time to ensure the game remains balanced and competitive. Here are the changes made to the game in patch update 7.30d. There are changes to a handful of items and most characters, the most significant of which are to Dawnbreaker, Silencer, Tiny and Brood Mother.

Blink damage rescaled from 200 +100% strength to 100 + 150% strength

Tumbler’s Toy

Cooldown reduced from 30s to 20s

No longer can be casted if the owner is rooted or leashed.

Brigand’s Blade

Attack Damage Bonus per 10% Health Missing increased from 7 to 8

Nether Shawl

Armor Reduction reduced from -3 to -2

Magic Resistance Bonus reduced from 25% to 20%

Spell Amplification reduced from 8% to 6%

Mirror Shield

Attribute bonuses reduced from 16 to 10

Ex Machina

Armor reduced from 25 to 20

Fallen Sky

Effect Delay increased from 0.5s to 1s

Brain Sap

Cooldown increased from 14/13/12/11 to 17/15/13/11


Base damage reduced by 2


Call of the Wild Hawk

Shard Cooldown Reduction reduced from 15 to 7



Stack duration increased from 16 to 16/18/20


Spin Web

Charges increased from 3/5/7/9 to 4/6/8/10

Spawn Spiderlings

Damage increased from 240/320/400 to 260/340/420


Burning Barrage

Damage increased from 60% of attack damage to 65%


Level 20 talent +2 Burning Barrage Arrows increased to +3

Swipe attack damage bonus reduced from 25/35/45/55 to 20/30/40/50

Smash attack damage bonus rescaled from 40/65/90/115 to 30/60/90/120

Celestial Hammer

Slow rescaled from 35% to 24/28/32/36%


Base Armor increased by 1

Death Prophet

Spirit Siphon

Base Health Drain per second increased from 14 to 16


Flak Cannon

Mana cost increased from 50 to 50/60/70/80


God’s Rebuke

Mana Cost increased from 80 to 90

Monkey King

Wukong’s Command

Soldier’s attack interval increased from 1.1 to 1.2

Naga Siren

Mirror Image

Cooldown reduced from 40/36/32/28 to 40/35/30/25

Night Stalker


Level 25 Talent -60s Dark Ascension cooldown reduced to -50s


Movement Speed reduced from 305 to 300

Phantom Assassin

Fan of Knives

Cooldown reduced from 20 to 15


Nether Blast

Cast Range increased from 400 to 450


Smoke Screen

Miss Chance increased from 20/35/50/65% to 30/45/60/75%


Arcane Curse

Silence Penalty Multiplier reduced from 2x to 1.7x

Last Word

Scepter Radius reduced from 650 to 500


Base Armor reduced by 1



Pass Damage increased from 100/140/180 to 110/155/200



Mana Cost increased from 130/210/290 to 150/225/300

Heat-Seeking Missile

Damage per rocket reduced from 125/200/275/350 to 115/190/265/340



Damage reduced from 90/160/230/300 to 80/150/220/290

Tree Grab

Cooldown increased from 16/14/12/10 to 19/16/13/10

Unit Attack Damage Bonus reduced from 25% to 20%



Hero Attacks to destroy Tombstone increased from 4/5/6/7 to 5/6/7/8


Fury Swipes

Damage Bonus per stack increased from 9/18/27/36 to 10/19/28/37

Vengeful Spirit

Agility Gain reduced from 3.4 to 3.2


Fatal Bonds

Mana Cost reduced from 140 to 110/120/130/140

Chaotic Offering

Golem Base Health increased from 1000/2000/3000 to 1200/2100/3000

Scepter Golem Base Health increased from 750/1500/2250 to 800/1600/2400


Base damage rescaled from 53-63 to 54-60

The Swarm

Shard Cooldown reduction reduced from 4s to 2s

Arctic Burn

Cooldown reduced from 42/36/28/20 to 38/32/26/20

Wraith King

Mortal Strike

Critical Damage increased from 140/180/220/260% to 150/190/230/270%


Static Field

Damage no longer counts as HP removal (so Heavenly Jump can now put blink dagger on cooldown and affects effects that are canceled by damage like healing salve)

Thundergod’s Wrath

Damage increased from 300/400/500 to 300/425/550
