Elden Ring beta gameplay has leaked, from a new destroyed YouTube channel called Games Anime and More. The tiny 27 second clip shows what we presume to be an early area in the game, where not much is really happening. The player in the footage —whomever they are— looks at a glowing tree and scares a couple of birds. Thrilling stuff.

One of the biggest changes to the game when compared to previous From Software games like Dark Souls is that the player now has a jump button, rather than the awkward run and click. The master detectives on Reddit had already realised this after the gameplay trailer reveal, but it’s nice to see this confirmation. There was a jump button in their most recent release Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, but we have yet to see if the new hero character is as spry and good at traversal as that game’s protagonist Wolf.

Does Elden Ring have bad graphics in the beta gameplay leak?

After the comments section started to make fun of the low quality graphics in the Elden Ring beta gameplay footage, Games Anime and More explained that the build was a ‘… couple weeks old but it’s from a Xbox One and not from a new gen console. Also, the quality downgrades even more due to capturing it using external tools.” — this has of course not stopped internet users complaining about how it looks, because it is of course, the internet.

Here’s a sneaky single frame from the leak, which you can find on your own with relative ease.

Anyway, Elden Ring releases on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC on February 25, 2022, 2022. If you’re okay playing a version with bad graphics you can also get it on Xbox One or PlayStation 4. We look forward to seeing more of the game as we get closer to it’s release next year.
