Future of Play Direct Showcase 2022 Highlights

A narrative-driven side-scroller set in a haunted cybernetic house, Psychroma piqued our interest for its gloomy, eye-catching art style. It charts the story of a digital medium as they face up to the past and piece together fractured memories to unravel the mysteries of a harrowing psychological experiment gone awry. There’s time manipulation, digital exorcism, an AI on the fritz, and plenty more besides.

Achimostawinan Games unveiled Hill Agency: PURITYdecay during the Future of Play Showcase 2022. Described as an Indigenous Cybernoir Detective Game, it promises stacks of grayscale sleuthing, an involved narrative, and a unique take on Indigenous futurism. One to look out for when it launches on PC, August 31st, 2022. If you fancy giving it an early go, a demo is available as part of the Steam Next Fest. Grab it here.
