F1 2020 From Codemasters Release Date Announced

Good news for racing fans out there – today Codemasters revealed that they will be releasing the brand new F1 2020, the official videogame of the 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship on the 10th of July 2020.

Gamers can expect to find F1 2020 available on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as on PC via either DVD or Steam. Interestingly, the game will also be made available for Google Stadia for the first time in the franchise’s history, so now there will be more ways to play than ever.

In another first for the F1 game series, players will be able to enjoy the brand new game mode ‘My Team’. In the My Team mode, players will be given the role of a driver-manager as they take their very own player-created teams into the established line up of the 2020 line up, offering a brand new and unique insight into the world of F1.

Players will also be able to enjoy the career mode of F1 2020, with both My Team and Career mode available to play through in three separate lengths – the full 22 race season, a shorter 16 race season or a ten race season for those who want the challenge. All of these modes will now feature the brand new Hanoi Circuit and Circuit Zandvoort tracks introduced newly for this game.

Codemasters are also planning to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Formula One by introducing brand new circuits to the game, as well as bringing back the much loved split-screen mode, for social play alongside another player for that at-home friendly competition.

There are also going to be brand new settings to help those interested in playing the game in total racing simulation environment, as well as different modes and challenges to help newbies into the game, whilst still allowing veterans a struggle in the realistic depiction of F1 racing that they love.

Codemasters are also looking to celebrate the new release by offering three different versions of the game: the standard edition, the Schumacher Deluxe Edition or the F1 2020: F1 Seventy Edition, the last two of which will come with exclusive in-game items, and be available in a special edition steel book case from selected retailers.

However, only the Schumacher Deluxe Edition will come complete with the chance to drive as F1 legend Michael Schumacher, as well as a unique podium celebration, custom liveries, and customization options. The most thing about the Schumacher edition though is its inclusion of four legendary cars that Schumacher drove throughout his career – the 1991 Jordan 191, the 1994 Benetton B194, the 1995 Benetton B195, and the 2000 Ferrari F1-2000.
