A video has surfaced on popular Chinese video-sharing platform, Bilibili, giving us our first look at what appears to be Nvidia’s upcoming GeForce RTX 5090.
The video leak comes from a Chiphell forum, where user, PolyMorph, shared the link to the video on Bilibili. The short 2-minute video, now reuploaded on YouTube, contains footage of a large production line debugging system, with factory employees gathered around one spot. This is where we get our first look at a possible RTX 5090 GPU, along with what appears to be boot-up tests being conducted on it. If the video’s content is accurate, it would mean that the RTX 5090 is ready for production – making the CES 2025 release date something to look forward to.
Leaked video shows what may be the first successful boot-up of the RTX 5090
The highlight of the video can be seen 40 seconds in, where workers successfully boot up the RTX 5090 to Windows, celebrating this significant achievement. After the first successful boot-up, the worker brings another RTX 5090 into the frame and successfully boots up a second PC, which also reaches the Windows screen.
This suggests that the RTX 5090 is successfully booting up and is ready to exit the validation phase. As for the location of this celebration, information suggests that the video is from a factory in Batam, Indonesia, set up to minimize losses due to U.S. sanctions impacting RTX 5090 sales to China.
RTX 5090 seen in the video appears to belong to Zotac’s GAMING family
The possible RTX 5090 seen in the leaked video is said to belong to Zotac’s GAMING family, featuring a triple-fan layout and possibly a 3 or 4-slot design. Another interesting detail from the video is that the RTX 5090 appears to use a single power connector, contrary to the rumored specifications that suggested it would feature dual 16-pin power connectors. We have already seen leaked specifications for the RTX 5090, along with other rumored models. With the expected release date in January at CES 2025, we’re getting closer every day before we get to see how accurate all these leaks turn out to be.
